Good afternoon all my lovelies out there!
Oh boy have I had fun today creating some cards to share with you using some of our beautiful new products. My current favourite being the Magnolia Lane Bundle. I just love Magnolias and these stamps and dies are to die for! Hahaha!! The DSP is also extremely beautiful. You can see one piece of the DSP in this pictures shown.
CARD NUMBER 1
The first card is using the silver embossing paste and the brick wall stencil to create a background for the large magnolia flower which I have stamped in Crumb Cake only very lightly and then lightly coloured using water in an Aqua pen and the ink pad (use the opposite side of the pad as a palette). I have used Petal Pink and Old Olive to do the colours. The sentiment is from the Painted Glass set and embossed using silver heat embossing powder. I have added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a bit of bling. The card front is on whisper white and is mounted on Soft Sea Foam cardstock
CARD NUMBER 2
Check out this beautiful white embossed cardstock made by using the new Lace 3D embossing folder. I have added a strip of some of the Magnolia Lane DSP and again I have coloured two smaller magnolias using Petal Pink and Old Olive. The sentiment is from the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle and us mounted on an Oval Stitched die. The Thanks is heat embossed in gold and the Petal Pink flourishes surround it is a stamp from the Magnolia Lane set as well. A simple but elegant card.
The Magnolia Bundle will be available as of June 3rd when the new catalogue is launched. To play with these great products before you buy though you could think about coming to our launch day on 9th June cost is $60 and includes everything to make 5 cards, lunch and afternoon tea, prize draws throughout the day, a free gift for all attendees and you automatically go into the draw to win a basket of goodies valued at over $50. Call me to book your seat/s on 0419721461.
Hope you like today’s cards, please leave a comment and let me know what you think.
Until next time, keep on crafting.
Good afternoon my lovelies!
Well Hubby is out mowing the lawn so I have been in my craft room creating once again. I recently did a succulent wreath class (with real plants) with one of my beautiful Daughters in law and I thought I could do a flower wreath from my punches and dies. I have seen a lot on Pinterest etc but this is what I came up with.
I wanted to use up some DSP so used it to make some of the flowers. This added colours. I had a couple of injuries mind you!! LOL, burnt myself on my hot glue gun, pierced myself with my paper piercer while unclogging an old glue bottle (not SU). Then I ran out of hot glue so a trip to Bunnings and came back with not just the glue but a few plants for the actual garden. Have you ever gone to the shops just to buy one thing and come back with just that one thing? MMmmm never happens to me!
The wooden sentiment and the actual wreath are the only things that aren’t Stampin Up as I had some of these in my drawers to use. I think it makes a nice home decor piece!
I used Wonderful Romance stamps and dies for most of the foliage and punches for the flowers. The list of products is below if you would like to order any of the products. Unfortunately the Pansy Punch is retired but you can use any of the new punches.
I will also take any orders for floral wreaths in a colour and theme to suit your occasion. Costs start at $30 (Could vary depending on size etc). Call me on 0419721561 to order.
Would love to know what you think!
Well back to the craft room to clean up my mess that I made!
Hope you all have a fabulous day!

Today’s card which is not a card it is actually a little treat box. I have had this set for a while now and have been itching to make something with it. I love to cook and what better stamp set and framelits to own than this one! The little utensils are so cute and it can be for male or female as there are BBQ utensils as well. So versatile. Don’t forget when you purchase a new stamp set or bundle always look at the little stamps and framelits they can come in handy when you just can’t find something to add to that special little project. The little flowers in this set are adorable and I can see I will use them not just when using this set but with so many other sets as well.
Would love to know your thoughts on this little treat box, please leave a comment here on my blog!
I haven’t filled the box yet because I haven’t baked anything to go into it but plan on making some little tiny cookies to fill it with to give to someone special. MMmmmmm who could that be????

Keep on Stampin!
Good afternoon everyone,
Well it’s a Billy (Grandson) day today but haven’t been in my room all week and thought while he’s asleep I would quickly get in and make this card that I have been wanting to get made.
We all know how hard it is to find a nice design for a male birthday card, well here’s a quick and easy one. It may look difficult but I can assure you it is so easy. Just using your sponges and inks to tone in a sunset look background. The colours I used were Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobler and some Fresh Fig. Of course you can create your own type of sunset tonings in whatever colours you wish. I cut a circle from one of my punches and used some washi tape to secure it while I did the sponging.
The stamp set is the adorable Country Road a great set for male cards! I also used the flying bird stamp from High Tide but only stamped one bird onto the card across the sun. Used a mask so that the other birds wouldn’t stamp.
The design is mounted onto Daffodil Delight cardstock and then that is mounted onto Early Espresso card.
The list of supplies are noted below so if you would like to purchase any of these great products, click on my shop on line button to place your order.
I will be doing up a list of the classes for next year, early in the new year so if you would like to come to any of my classes, be sure to contact me to receive your monthly newsletter for all the latest details! Call me on 0419721561 if you have any queries. There are classes to suit all levels of paper crafters! Not just card making but I can show you some great 3d projects or scrapbooking layouts.
I will be doing some Christmas cards in the upcoming days as this heat in Brisbane will keep me indoors and in air conditioning!!
Hope you all have an amazing day!
Good morning all,
Well despite not having cleaned my craft room, it will happen today some time, but as always happens when I get new products, I just have to try them out. So here’s the latest the beautiful Peaceful Poinsettia bundle in the new Holiday Catalogue #149962 (photopolymer bundle) page 22 in the new cattie!! I used the new Buffalo Check Background stamp #147794 page 38. Such a versatile background stamp. The colour of the background is Crumb Cake, one of my favourite Neutrals. To colour the poinsettia and holly I used watercolour pencils. I would have like to used blends but I didn’t have a Cherry Cobbler blend so I used water colour pencils. That’s the great thing with Stampin Up there is always an alternative. Don’t know if you can see the shimmer paint I sprayed on the card. WOW I love this stuff! Check them out o page 38 of the catalogue. I used the Champagne Mist #147044 they are $14 for a small bottle but you only use such a tiny amount mixed in with alcohol (no not your good Gin or Scotch) I use Isocol rubbing alcohol and put a few drops of the paint in a water spritzer and mix with some Isocol. It gives a beautiful shimmer to any projects. The sentiment is heat embossed using the new in colour embossing powders (Lovely Lipstick).
We will be using this at the catalogue launch day on 21st October. What? you haven’t booked! Call me now to book in on 0419721561. (hahahaha).
Well now I better go and clean my room up!!
Hope you like today’s card! Have a great day!
Ok ok, I know I said earlier today I would post my projects but didn’t think I would get to do it so soon. I am just loving this card I just made using the new TILE DYNAMIC
TEXTURED IMPRESSIONS EMBOSSING FOLDER – yes that’s a mouthful. I inked the folder up with Night of Navy before running it through the big shot. Result was amazing! The stamp is from the gorgeous new Country Home set in the new Holiday catalog available from 5th September.
The Christmas card I made is here also using the Detailed Deer Thinlets Stamp set and not sure if you can see it but I have also used the Champagne Shimmer Paint which gives a very subtle shimmer to wherever you apply it. It is gorgeous and comes in four shades, Copper, Gold, White and Champagne. A must have from the new Catalog.
Would love to know what you think!! Have you started your Christmas Cards yet? Come join me for the launch of the new Catalog and make six Christmas cards! Details coming soon!
Well that’s me for today, I promise.
Have a great day!
Good afternoon everyone,
Long time no hear from me! Have been visiting the family in Gladstone but back home now with a bad back but itching to get into the craft room.
Just before we left on holidays I received my order and haven’t had a chance to use any of it but today I found a little time to “play”.
I have been wanting to use this gorgeous embossing folder “Tufted” just one of the new folders from Stampin Up. I used the new Soft Sea Foam cardstock (how gorgeous is this colour?) as well as the four petal flower punch to create this sympathy card. I unfortunately have had to use up some of sympathy cards in my stash of late and so had to create some new stock!
The sentiment is silver embossed.
Don’t forget if you would like any of these products, be sure to visit and click my online store to place your order. Let me know if you have any questions!
Hope you like today’s card! Let me know what you think.
Cheers for now!
Ok it’s Mother’s Day on Sunday and if you haven’t made your cards here’s a couple of quick and easy ones that anyone can make before Sunday!
Both of these cards are used with stamps alone, no designer series paper or fancy techniques both can be done very easily with products you have at home and not necessarily Stampin Up products. Use your imagination to improvise with what you have. Why not just use a paint brush and brush some ink from your ink pad onto the cardstock to form a background??
Card number one is using white cardstock for the card, Mint Macaron (new colour in Stampin Up) but you can use any colour ink and cardstock you wish. Even if you don’t have the cardstock to match just use the white cardstock and ink still looks lovely!
I have inked an acrylic block with the ink (use piece of plastic of some sort if you don’t have an acrylic block) ink it up and then spritz it with some water (use a water spray bottle that’s all). Then stamp the inked up block onto your white cardstock and it gives a mottled effect. I did this one twice and it has come out a bit dark but still got a water mottled effect in the background. I then just stamped a flower stamp, this one is from the Petal Palette set but you can use any flowery stamp you have and stamped it in black memento ink over the top. I then stamped the sentiment directly onto the card front and added three little pearls at the bottom. Very easy.
Although I have heaps of designer series paper here in the craft studio, I wanted to show how easy it is to create your own backgrounds without the special papers.
Take some small stamps – the ones in sets that you may overlook – these are great for backgrounds! Randomly stamp the card front. In this one I used three little stamps from the Swirly Birds stamp set (flower, stems and dots) and believe it or not I haven’t used these little stamps before and I think they make a great background. For the dots I stamped them off once so that they are a lot lighter in colour. I used Balmy Blue ink and cardstock another new colour in Stampin Up but as I said if you don’t have this colour use any of the colours you have at home.
I tied some white baker’s twine around the card and silver embossed the sentiment in silver embossing powder but if you don’t have any embossing powder just stamp it in black or the same colour ink you used to do your card. I only have the one Mother’s Day sentiment and you know you don’t have to just say Happy Mother’s Day, I thought always thinking of you is just as appropriate. You always write happy mother’s day inside the card anyway! I adhered it on with dimensionals. Another very simple card when you don’t have a lot of time!
Hope you get some ideas from these cards today and I would love to see your Mother’s day cards you have made.
Cheers for now!
