Good morning all!
Just came home after a fun morning of cardmaking and coffee with some lovely ladies. Dell, Gail, Gloria and Helen.
We made a gorgeous butterfly card and had some fun and great coffee as well. We fussy cut a butterfly from the Botanical Butterfly DSP and had fun colouring him with the water colour pencils and using the aqua pens to blend the colour through. The butterfly’s little antennae are made using copper thread. Hope you all enjoyed this morning as much as I did! Will see you next month.
If you would like to join us once a month for the Coffee and Card Class, please call me on 0419721561 to book your seat! It is held at 9.30am on the second Tuesday of each month at Round Table Coffee Gawain Road Bracken Ridge and bookings are essential as I need to prep the cards prior to the class. Hope to hear from you soon!
Until next time, have a great day

Well as I always say, there are no mistakes or accidents in crafting, they are all creative opportunities. This was never so true as just last week I ordered some A4 magnetic sheets to house my framelits and dies however I accidentally ordered very thin sheets which are no good for holding the dies. I was in Kmart with the MOTH (man of the house) and saw some magnetic frames in the technology department and I have some on my fridge already, and thought hey I could make some of them with those useless thin magnetic sheets.
So here is the outcome. Nothing goes to waste and mistakes are always creative opportunities. The designs are limitless.
I used the new Rectangle stitched framelits (love these and are available in the current occasions catalogue) to cut the frame out using any DSP. With the largest Framelit I cut out a plain co-ordinating piece of cardstock. I adhered only three sides of the DSP (left the top open to insert a photo). Stuck some of the thin magnet sheet to the back (I cut three strips and adhered). Then decorate to however you like.
These are just two of the ones I have made and stuck on my fridge. They look so much nicer than the bought ones I had!!
Hope you like them! If you would like come and make some of these I have heaps of magnetic sheets to use up so hold some project classes to make these. Please let me know if you are interested so I can start planning the classes!!!
Hope you have a great day.
Happy Australia Day everyone!
Hope you are all keeping cool on this very hot day here in Queensland! I have been in the air con doing a long overdue video tutorial on a lovely little project – a gift bag made using the Gift Bag punch board from Stampin Up. I hope you like this project and that you give it a go. A great way of making your own gift wrapping.
The measurements for the bag are:
Cardstock 18 x 27.9cms
DSP 2 pieces 11 x 7cms
The list of products used is at the end of this blog.
If you would like any of these great products be sure to use my online store.
Hope you have a great day.
Cheers for now,
Very hot here in Brissy so in the air con crafting – Der!!! Where else would I be!!
Back into the scrapbooking with a photo of our beautiful mum at her nursing home surrounded by some of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The only non SU product is the verse in the top left corner but had this in my stash and thought it very appropriate. Because it was taken on Christmas Eve I did it in Christmas colours but also because the photo had Christmas tones in it as well. When I scrapbook I look at the photo and take my colour scheme from that. What do you do when you have a photo to scrap? Let me know how you come up with your colours and designs!
Well that’s a quick post for today, hope you like the layout.
Have a great day!
Afternoon my lovelies!
Had a lovely visit with the older sister today and had some fun playing in the craft room together! While Barb was here a parcel arrived containing the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits that I had ordered. After Barb left I just had to have a play and here’s a card I came up with but you may want to get your sunglasses out as the beautiful new Grapefruit Grove Foil sheets are just dazzling in this pic! The new Grapefruit Grove and Lovely Lipstick foil sheets are available only as a free item when you spend $90 during Saleabration! So better get your order in to get this beautiful foil paper before it gets sold out! I think its going to be very popular.
In this card I have also used the sentiment from the Amazing Life stamp set which is bundled with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies on page 28 of the Occasions Catalogue and I have heat embossed it used the Grapefruit Grove embossing powder on page 202 of the annual catalogue. If you purchase The Amazing Life bundle you save 10%. The fact that the Rectangle Stitched Framelits have 13 dies is amazing. I’m not going to count how many frames etc you could make with that. All I can say is that it makes this set very economical and a must for any scrapbooker or card maker! The sequins are from the sequin assortment on page 198 in the annual catalogue. The ribbon down the sides is the beautiful new Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack also only available as a free item on page 7 of the Saleabration catalogue.
Hope you like today’s card. The products used are listed below. Don’t forget to ask any questions you may have.
Don’t forget about the Beginner’s Class on 5th March and the Technique Class on 19th March. Call me to book your seat. Cost is only $25 everything supplied. However if you are a VIP member you would have got a voucher in your December Newsletter and this will allow you to pay only $10 for one of the classes. Look forward to your phone call 0419721561. Still seats available!
Hope you have a great day and cheers for now.
If you haven’t checked out the 2019 Occasions Catalogue I think you had better take a look! Check it out here on my blog site, just click on the link! This stamp set and co-ordinating framelits called Wonderful Romance is just adorable and I am loving playing with it.
The floral design was stamped in versa mark and then gold heat embossed. I then coloured in the florals using the stampin blends which makes colouring and shading so easy. I also cut some filler flowers from gold foil paper. The background is Soft Sea Foam, one of my new fav colours, so soft and delicate. It is embossed using the tufted embossing folder through the big shot. The sentiment is from the stamp set and I have threaded gold glitter thread (discontinued) through the holes and tied in a bow at the side. Im happy with the end product, hope you are too. If you have any questions on how this was made, please feel free to message or email me.
The list of products used is below. Don’t forget you can order any of these beautiful products on line or message me and I can order for you.

Bit hot here in Brissy today but the air con is on in the craft studio and I’m back in there playing with some of my new products. Check out this bundle from the new Occasions Catalogue, its a great one for those difficult male cards! The bundle is called Best Catch.
My husband is a fishing type of guy and not a mushy kind of guy so made this for his Valentine’s day card, yes I know getting in early but wanted to use the set! Coloured the fish and the reeds using Stampin Blends on watercolour paper. Copper embossing powder for the sentiment and just a black pen for the fishing line! Easy peasy!
Hope you like today’s card. Don’t forget to check out all the great fun stuff in the new catalogues!
Have a great day!
Well we have had a busy weekend with grandies visiting and have loved every minute of it however I did get time on Saturday before they arrived to do this page. The photo of Gary and I was taken at my nephew’s wedding in October and I was wanting to do something and when a lady from one of my FB pages I belong to had a sketch challenge I decided this was my opportunity. This is the design sketch idea we were given.
When I do my scrapbooking, I look at the picture first and the colours and then I try to work in those colours in the layout. I took the colours from the dress I was wearing and used Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and Night of Navy as the main colours. I flicked Night of Navy and Calypso Coral inks with a tooth brush onto the back ground of the Petal Pink to add that little bit of texture to the paper. The rest is just very simple.
I’m still trying to figure out the best way of photographing my pages but at this stage they are just sitting on the kitchen bench as a background! MMMMmmm will investigate this further!
Hope you like it, let me know what you think.
Well got my delivery of some of the goodies from the Occasions Catalogue. The Geared Up Garage bundle is perfect for male cards and here’s the latest male card I came up with. Check out those gears using the Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheets which are a freebie during Sale-a-bration when you spend $90! Woohoo!!! The inside of the card which I haven’t shown only as the battery on my phone was low says “You jump-start my heart” which is one of the stamps in the set. The bundle is on page 43 of the Occasions Catalogue! It’s an awesome set!! The little metal elements of keys and spanners make a cute little addition as well. The little dots are from the cut outs from the gears. The oil spills make an awesome background to any male card as well. There is also matching DSP. I have a few pictures to scrapbook and these gears and elements will be great to use in my scrapbooking. Check it out!!!
Let me know what you think and if you would like to order the bundle is is $84.50 which includes the stamp set and the thinlet dies. Don’t forget to put your order in here at my 24/7 safe and secure online shop! Or give me a call to book a workshop and earn some of these great products for free!!!
