Coffee Mug Instructions and Video

Hello all,

As promised on my youtube video here are the instructions for the coffee mug.  I do have some of the measurements on the video but here is the written document.  Would love to see yours if you make one.  Feel free to send me your pics.   Please subscribe to my youtube chanel and my newsletter to be notified of all the happenings at Wynning Creations.

If you live in Australia, don’t forget to enter the draw to win a card kit, stamp set and a liquid glue valued at over $50.

Also here is the video

Materials needed:

Scoreboard (or ruler, pencil and a scoring tool of some sort)

Envelope Punch Board (optional)

1 x Cardstock paper sized 9½ x 7¾ (inches)  24.1cms x 19.7cms

6 strips of Matching DSP (decorative paper) cut in 3 inches x 1¼ inches  (7.6 x 3.2cms)

Strip for handle measuring 1/2″ x 6″

Double sided tape and or glue

Method:

Using your scoreboard or ruler – on the long side (9½ inch side) long side at the top of the scoreboard, score at 1½ inches (3.8), 3inches(7.6), 4½inches (11.4), 6inches (15.2), 7½inches (19) and 9inches (22.9).

Turn the card around and with the 7¾ inch side at the top of the scoreboard, score at 1½ (3.8) inches, and at 5¼ (13.3) inches.

Now burnish all the score lines with your bone folder.

On the reverse side of your card, place your six panels of decorative paper in the centre panels.  Ensure that the shorter scored panels are at the bottom of the card and the longer panels are at the top.  Place the strips of decorative paper just below the top scored line.

Turn card over.  Down the left hand side of the card you will see a long thin scored panel.  You will need to cut off the two smaller rectangular pieces and then cut a little wedge on each side of the longer piece.

Apply double sided tape to the strip most of the way down the side of the card stock which has been cut.

If doing the decorative hole punch Place in envelope punch board or decorative punch if you have one and line up the shorter score line is lined up with the centre of the envelope punch and then punch out all the sections out along each of the folds.  Ensure you also cut the end one off as well.

Now we can assemble.

Apply double sided tape along the top of the card stock (ie the largest flaps section)  Then another piece of double sided tape along the wedged flap which will go inside of the folded down section.  Fold the top piece down so that this reinforces the cup.

Cut up all score lines on the smaller tabs.

Fold these over to form the base.

Cut or punch out  a circular 21/2 ” circle to adhere to base (optional).

For the handle, curl the strip with your bone folder for make it curl and adhere to coffee mug with liquid glue.  Hold in place until the glue takes.

Decorate and fill with yummies as required.

Hope you all have a great day!

Scrapbooking Class

Good morning my lovelies,

Just have to share some pics of my latest class I have done with some beautiful special needs ladies.  Here is Kelly doing her very first scrap book page and she had so much fun! (So did I).  Kelly’s carer Lesley helped out a little But Kelly did a wonderful job and the picture she chose was superb!  A weekly class now.  The beautiful carers do a wonderful job to look after people with disabilities and this outing to make cards and do a bit of scrapbooking is great to get them out and about to do something different.

I get so much out of running these classes and the social interaction afterwards over a cuppa and some cupcakes is great!

Thank you to Kelly’s parents and to Lesley for allowing me to share Kelly’s picture doing something that she just loved.

Now to go and decide on a two picture layout for next week!   These girls will have more scrapbooking done than me if I’m not careful!   🤣🤣

Hope you have a great day!

Coffee and Card Class – All Geared Up!!!

Good morning all,

Another great coffee and card class this month at the busy little Roundtable Coffee Shop in Bracken Ridge.  Yummy coffee, I had two today!  Thanks to Chris, Gloria, Helen, Judy and Gail who came today and let me take their photo to share!  We are now holding our Coffee and Card Classes twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month.  Bookings essential remember!  0419721561 at least a couple of days prior to the class.  Cost is only $5.

The card we made was one that I had prepped for last year but due to illness I couldn’t do the class and its been sitting in my craft room all prepped and so I decided we needed to make it.  I know I struggle with the male cards but this one seemed to tick all the boxes especially for the mechanically minded male!

Here’s the card we did and all the products used are listed below.  A very simple card using Geared Up Garage stamp set and dies.  We used different foil sheets some ladies had the copper foil some had the Grapefruit Grove only as I was using up what I had left in my stash!  Either looks just great!  The card below is using the Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheets, see how it picks up the light reflections!!  Cool hey!

Everyone who came today also automatically goes into the draw to win a stamp set and card kit, drawn at the end of April.  If you would like to go into the draw all you have to do is book into any of my classes call me today on 04169721561 to book in for a class that suits you, Coffee and Card, Scrapbooking Class (held last Saturday of each month), one on one class or a workshop at your place where you can earn free Stampin Up products.

Sepia tones

Good morning all,

well I can’t take credit for this design but just had to have a go at it.  I recently did a card that involved the bleaching technique but not using bleach.  Well this card is using bleach to highlight flowers in sepia tones.  Thanks to Gail Ellis and Sandi McIver for their inspirations to try this out.

Love the effects in this card.  Check out their tutorial on YouTube to see how this is achieved.  I used the Very Versailles and Painted Poppies Stamp sets for mine.

Would love to know what you think!
Cheers for now.

COFFEE AND CARD CLASSES NOW TWICE A MONTH!!

Hello my lovelies!

Hope this finds you all well.  How exciting, the lovely Jeremy and Ally at Roundtable Coffee asked if I would like to do fortnightly coffee and card classes, yes I am retired but hey this is so much fun so why not!  I jumped at the chance!  So starting on 25th Feb I will be holding two classes a month at Roundtable Coffee.  So it works out the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, same time, same price just double the monthly fun!

Hope that you can come join us and if you can’t make it one week you always have a second chance.

Bookings are essential to me at least two days prior to the class on 0419721561.  Attending any of my classes gives you automatic entry into the quarterly draw to win a beautiful stamp set and card kit worth over $70 just by attending a class.

I still have a couple of vacancies for the inaugural scrapbooking class on Saturday 22nd Feb if anyone is interested.  Please call to book in.

I had a lovely one on one class the other day with the gorgeous Naomi and her carer where we made a beautiful card!  We didn’t add a sentiment as we werent sure who she would give it to so we left it blank.  Here’s the card.  Its a simple card as Naomi had never done stamping before.

A quick post today must get prepping for Saturday’s scrapbooking class which I am really looking forward to.

Keep on Stampin and Scrappin and generally keep on having fun no matter what you are up to!

Today’s Coffee and Card Class

Had a great morning this morning so much so forgot to take any pictures!  Anyhooooo here’s the card we made and all the lovelies who attended had so much fun learning new techniques!

We used the stamparatus to position the tulip and leaf from the punch and used Terracotta Tile and Pineapple punch to colour the tulips.  The background is stamped using the leaf stamp from Very  Versailles in old olive.  Let’s know what you think of the card!

Always a fun morning, so much so that I will now be running them fortnightly.  Next class will be in two weeks time on Tuesday morning 25th February, bookings essential to me on 0419721561.  Look forward to seeing you.

cheers for now

Tasteful Backgrounds meet See A Silhouette DSP

Good morning all my lovely supporters!  What a beautiful rainy day here in Brisbane, just what we need, a good soaking of rain.  Also a great day to be in the craft room!

I ordered the Tasteful backgrounds when I first saw them when the annual came out last year and haven’t used them until now.  Don’t know why as they are just so beautiful.

I embossed the front using the Subtle textures embossing folder. Then I used the See a Sihouette DSP which is set behind the background cut out.  The white flowers are made using the cut outs left on the big shot from the background die.  Waste not want not!  The rhinestones are the gorgeous new champagne rhinestones which go with anything!  A must have in any crafters stash! The sentiment is from the beautiful Timeless Tulips, embossed using copper embossing powder and has been punched out using the Classic Label lunch – a very versatile punch.

I will list all the products at the bottom as this will make it easier to order any of these products.  To shop just click on the Show Now button to take you to my safe and secure online shop!  Easy Peasy!

Don’t forget about  the scrapbooking class on Saturday 22nd February commencing at 10am nearly booked out only a couple of spots left!  Call me to book in on 0419721561.  Cost is $20 includes refreshments!  To be held here at Wynning Creations in Bracken Ridge!

Ok that’s a wrap from me for today, going to do a bit of scrapping now.  Hope you all have wonderful day.  Until next time, keep on Stampin!

LET’S GO TROPPO!!!

Hello my Lovelies!

Living in Brisbane is close to the tropics isn’t it!! Well you would think I was in Hawaii today in my craft room using this gorgeous new stamp set call Timeless Tropical with the matching dies called In The Tropics (of course)!

The background is the co-ordinating DSP. All these products are available in the new mini catalogue. You can view this catty here on my blog – just click the link!

The card stock is mossy meadow and the flowers have been coloured using Stampin blends!

Hope you like today’s card. Please let Me know what you think by leaving a comment here.

Oh by the way, the real hibiscus flowers are from our garden -credit to my personal gardener (my darling beloved) for his devotion to our garden. I can not take credit for anything that grows in soil!!!

Hope you have a fantastic day!

Keep on Stampin!
