Sorry not the real Bali Hut but made these cute little treat boxes for the Grandies this year. Our four grandchildren are Billy, Austin, Lola and Isaac – Our BALI!!!
You probably saw one I made earlier this year but decided to do some for the kiddies with a Christmas theme. They will be filled with chocolates of course but please don’t tell their parents!! Hahahahah! I really am a good Grandma!!!
In case you’re wondering, the snow is done with a snow pen but you could easily use texture paste! And yes I know Isaac’s has the paper sideways Ooops!
Until next time!
Good Saturday morning to you all!
Just wanted to show you my latest scrapbook page. I started this yesterday and had no idea what I was going to do with this cute little photo of our youngest grandchild Isaac. But didn’t want anything flowery as the colours in the photo are dark but wanted something a little quirky. So this is what I did.
He is such a cutie. Now to do the other three grandchildren’s pages! Just a warning, there will be photos!
Most of the products are Stampin Up but I have used some Tim Holz stencils for the background and some wooden embellishments. The spotted DSP is retired from Stampin Up and I really need to use it up. I used the green to tie in with the little bit of green on his T-shirt.
Let me know what you think and if you have any questions on how I did any of this please message or email me! Or just leave a comment!
Hope you have a great weekend!

Just wanted to share with you all what the lovely ladies at yesterday’s Coffee and Card class made. How cute and easy is this card. We had so much fun. The products used are listed below. The Sentiment is from the Quilted Christmas set which has now retired but you could use any sentiment you wish. Also the frame is from the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty paper which is available in the annual catalogue. I love this paper it is so versatile and has some great frames, borders and backgrounds. Check it out if you haven’t already its on page 189 of the annual catalogue. Order number is 146907.
The classes start up again in February and will now be held on the second TUESDAY of each month commencing at 9.30am. Always at Round Table Coffee on Gawain Road Bracken Ridge. The coffee is great and I recommend the Banana Bread Yummy!
Cost of the class is only $5 everything included (apart from your coffee).
If you like to start coming along to the classes, bookings are essential as I need to prep for the class and let Jeremy and Ally know how many tables to put aside for us. Please call me on 0419721561 if you would like to book in.
The first class for 2019 will be on February Tuesday 12th. Would love for you to come and join in the fun!!
Would love to know what you think of the card! We had fun making it!
Hope you have an amazing day and until next time!
Good afternoon everyone,
Hope this finds you all well. I’ve been busy in the craft room trying to get my Christmas cards finished still a work in progress.
I have been a little hesitant about using the new embossing mats but now that I have, I don’t think I can put them down! How versatile are these little beauties! All your framelits and thinlets can now become both embossed and cut! Doubling the effects on your projects. Check out this card I did using the Peaceful Poinsettia thinlets. I hope you can see from the photo that it has embossed the image instead of just cutting it out. I have then used the outline thinlet to actually cut the entire flower out, I did it on whisper white cardstock but I then coloured it using my cherry cobler stampin blends for a shaded look. You could just use Cherry Cobler or any colour cardstock. The foliage is old olive cardstock but cut out using the sprig punch. The background is the tufted embossing folder from the Annual Catalogue. The card base is Very Vanilla. The sprig punch and the Peaceful Poinsettia are only available until 2nd January to if you would like to order these products, you had better be quick. I also used the metallic gold thread and a strip of DSP across the middle of the card.
If you would like more information on how to use the embossing mats, please email or call me at any time! firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0419721561.
Don’t forget to check out the End of Year Closeout for some great bargains. Just click on on the shop on line button here on my blog site!
Hope you like today’s card. I was so impressed about how the embossing mats work! They are available in the annual catalogue as well.
Hope you have a great day.
Until next time!
Good afternoon everyone,
Well it’s a Billy (Grandson) day today but haven’t been in my room all week and thought while he’s asleep I would quickly get in and make this card that I have been wanting to get made.
We all know how hard it is to find a nice design for a male birthday card, well here’s a quick and easy one. It may look difficult but I can assure you it is so easy. Just using your sponges and inks to tone in a sunset look background. The colours I used were Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobler and some Fresh Fig. Of course you can create your own type of sunset tonings in whatever colours you wish. I cut a circle from one of my punches and used some washi tape to secure it while I did the sponging.
The stamp set is the adorable Country Road a great set for male cards! I also used the flying bird stamp from High Tide but only stamped one bird onto the card across the sun. Used a mask so that the other birds wouldn’t stamp.
The design is mounted onto Daffodil Delight cardstock and then that is mounted onto Early Espresso card.
The list of supplies are noted below so if you would like to purchase any of these great products, click on my shop on line button to place your order.
I will be doing up a list of the classes for next year, early in the new year so if you would like to come to any of my classes, be sure to contact me to receive your monthly newsletter for all the latest details! You may have seen on my FB page that I have been doing a fair bit of scrapbooking of late. I have so many photos to scrapbook and thought it was about time I got stuck into more of the scrapping. Im loving the mixed media pages, layouts and techniques. Still trialling so many but that’s half the fun right?
Here’s a couple to show you what I have been up to.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Well a very good early morning to you all,
Couldn’t sleep at 4.30am today so what else does one do but to get up and go into the craft room! Never before have I done this but I was awake, the birds were chirping outside and so why not!
Here is a cute little gingerbread house I made from some DSP from last year which I have been wanting to use up. The roof opens up to reveal some yummy goodies. Well it will be full when I get to the shop to get some. But you could make this and fill it with whatever goodies you want and use whatever designer series paper you may have at home. I love the glittery roof, don’t you?
I saw Linda Parker on youtube doing a similar one and this is my take on it. Thanks Linda you are awesome! Would be lovely for the little ones on Christmas Day.
Let me know what you think as I may do a video on it if I get enough interest. Please leave a comment here on my blog!
Cheers and have a great day.
Had a lovely Coffee and Card class this morning despite a couple of cancellations but Judy and I soldiered on and made a lovely monochrome Christmas card (pictured above). Very easy to make. Here’s how!
- Night of Navy Cardstock for card base.
- Whisper White cardstock for card front
- Night of Navy Ink
- White ribbon
- Extra Whisper White cardstock for sentiment
- Piece of computer paper to make your mask.
- First of all make a “mask” by using the 2.5″ circle punch in a scrap piece of paper.
- On your card front of whisper white cardstock, sponge with Night of Navy ink in circles ensuring you hold your mask down. Leave a little lighter area in the centre or just off centre. Make the “moon” as dark or as light as you wish.
- Stamp Santa and his sleigh in memento ink across the moon.
- Stamp the trees from Winter Woods in Night of Navy
- Make a knot with some white ribbon and adhere across base of trees around the card front
- Stamp your sentiment on a piece of white scrap paper and punch out.
- Optional extra to sponge around the sentiment.
- Adhere your sentiment with dimensionals
- Glue your card front to your card base

After the class I went to lunch with a lovely dear friend and came home and made some gable boxes. These make a great gift wrapping idea for Christmas or fill them with some yummy chocolates or lollies or even some beautiful soap to make great stocking fillers. I sell these for just $2.50 each but if you would like to buy the gable boxes and decorate them yourself they come as a pack of 12 for $14.00 and you can get them in either silver or white. They are great fun to stamp and decorate with whatever your imagination delivers!
Hope to see you later in the week!
Cheers for now!
