Christmas crafting!

Hi everyone,

Had a lovely Coffee and Card class this morning despite a couple of cancellations but Judy and I soldiered on and made a lovely monochrome Christmas card (pictured above).  Very easy to make.  Here’s how!

  1. Night of Navy Cardstock for card base.
  2. Whisper White cardstock for card front
  3. Night of Navy Ink
  4. White ribbon
  5. Extra Whisper White cardstock for sentiment
  6. Piece of computer paper to make your mask.

  1. First of all make a “mask” by using the 2.5″ circle punch in a scrap piece of paper.
  2. On your card front of whisper white cardstock, sponge with Night of Navy ink in circles ensuring you hold your mask down.  Leave a little lighter area in the centre or just off centre.  Make the “moon” as dark or as light as you wish.
  3. Stamp Santa and his sleigh in memento ink across the moon.
  4. Stamp the trees from Winter Woods in Night of Navy
  5. Make a knot with some white ribbon and adhere across base of trees around the card front
  6. Stamp your sentiment on a piece of white scrap paper and punch out.
  7. Optional extra to sponge around the sentiment.
  8. Adhere your sentiment with dimensionals
  9. Glue your card front to your card base

If you would like any of these beautiful products, be sure to contact me or use my safe and secure online shop.

After the class I went to lunch with a lovely dear friend and came home and made some gable boxes.  These make a great gift wrapping idea for Christmas or fill them with some yummy chocolates or lollies or even some beautiful soap to make great stocking fillers.  I sell these for just $2.50 each but if you would like to buy the gable boxes and decorate them yourself they come as a pack of 12 for $14.00 and you can get them in either silver or white.  They are great fun to stamp and decorate with whatever your imagination delivers!

Stained Glass using Joseph’s Coat technique

Afternoon my lovelies,

After a big weekend, have finally got to do a post this week!  Check this fantastic technique out called Joseph’s Coat, all the beautiful colours sponged onto cardstock, then embossed with your favourite stamp with versamark and clear embossing powder, then brayered with a dark colour.  Great result don’t you think.

If you would like to come and join me for a morning or afternoon of learning some fantastic techniques like this one, make sure you call and book in for a technique class at a time that suits you!. Week day or weekends whenever day or evening.  So much fun!

Double the use of your Big Shot!

Hi Everyone,

I just got delivery of the new big shot embossing mats!  Wow!  If you have a big shot or similar type of machine, these mats are an awesome addition to your product base.  All your cutting dies can now become embossing folders or cutting and embossing!   Wow!  Here is a card I have just made using the Swirly Snowflake die as an embossing folder.  So easy to do.  I have also used the new Sprig Punch available in the new annual catalogue.  A great addition to your punch collect.  Great for any projects.  This card is a little different to a normal Christmas Card as in its all black and white but who said we had to stick to traditional colours right?  You probably can’t see the glimmer effect from the photo but I have sprayed the new white glimmer paint as well and it gives such a beautiful effect.  I also used black embossing powder for the sentiment.  I used the retired white organza ribbon, just about out of that gorgeous ribbon!

Here is a video from Stampin Up demonstrating the fantastic embossing mats.  Thought you might like to take a look!  WOW!

Hope you like today’s card.

It’s raining and overcast here today in Brissy so am in the craft room playing!  So much fun even though I am on my own with Tilly the dog.  Why not call me to come book in a morning of crafting with me.  We can do anything you want, scrapbooking, card making, flower making or a bit of everything.  $25 includes morning tea and all products supplied.  Would love to hear from you!   Call me  0419721561

Gable Box gifts

Happy Sunday morning everyone!

As I have a coffee and card class tomorrow and everyone attending always receives a free gift well tomorrow here is the free gift my ladies will be receiving.  Don’t worry they won’t see it as these lovely ladies don’t access the internet.  I only have the two ladies coming tomorrow but I am sure they are going to love the little soap treats that are tucked inside these cute gable boxes.  If you are wondering, no I didn’t manually make the boxes they are available in our annual catalogue in silver and in white.  The plain white ones can be stamped on to make your own design.  However I have the silver ones and ran them through my big shot with an embossing folder.  I used the beautiful Lovely Floral embossing folder!  How easy is that!

Hope you like them and I know my lovelies tomorrow are going to love them.  Still time to book in if you would like to come.  9.30am at Round Table Coffee at Gawain Road Bracken Ridge.  Call me though if you would like to come so I can get your free gift ready and prep for the card that we are going to make.  Cost is only $5.

Have a great day!
