Simple Stamping

Good afternoon my lovelies,

Well we had the electrician here today so I hid myself in my craft room.  I woke up the other morning at about 3am and had a vision of a pattern and I remembered that I had to put into use.  Stampin Up have a Simple Stamping challenge at the moment and this design certainly meets that brief, I think.  If you don’t have much DSP don’t forget that you can use your stamps to create a beautiful pattern that mimicks DSP (Designer Series Paper).  The stamp set I used was one I haven’t used in awhile but is one of my all time favourites and is very versatile.  Its the Swirly Bird Stamp Set and is available in the Annual Catalogue.  Although I purchased this stamp set for the larger images and the framelits, I hadn’t used the smaller stamps.  So today’s card is using the little flowers and the stems and the background dot splotches!  The colours I used are Petal Pink, Mint Macaron and crumb cake and stamped randomly on Very Vanilla Cardstock.  I sponged around the edge of the card in Crumb Cake as well.  I added some pearls to give it a real Laura Ashley look!  I think it meets all the criteria for a simple stamping card.  The sentiment is using some wording from the Well Said stamp set which is just amazing for sentiments.  I hope they carry it over to the new catalogue.  I hope you like it.  Let me know what you think!
